Some of the best things in life aren’t handed to you, they’re earned. Inspired to help people navigate the journey to homeownership, I set out to guide others
through the process, turning challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality.
When I was growing up, my parents were always striving for something better. And that took shape through real estate. They started their lives together modestly with a small home, and soon after, with a growing family, bought their first single-family cape. A few years later they upgraded to a brand-new raised ranch and kept improving it, expanding the family room, building a bigger kitchen, and adding a three-tiered deck and pool. My childhood was in that home. I always appreciated the work they put into creating a home we loved.

As I got older, I realized it was more than that. They were working toward a dream. With each improvement and each year of saving and building equity, they eventually bought their dream home in their dream community: a colonial in Madison.
It wasn’t until I started planning for the next chapter of my own life that I realized the lasting impression their example had on me. Since I was 16, I was working in the restaurant industry, which continued through my years at my local University. I began to understand how a level of service could impact someone's day and was always willing to work hard. But in my heart, I knew there was something more for me.

At 22, I decided to bet on myself and get my real estate license. On my first day, I told my mentor I already had a listing lined up. It sold that first weekend. He told me that was not how it usually works. He was right. I knew there would be challenges, but I took it as a sign I was on the right path.
When the market crashed in 2008, I’d been in real estate for five years. I was quick to adapt to the times, finding a position managing a large portfolio of apartment complexes in downtown New Haven. It was a great opportunity to connect with people at similar points in life as I was. I was out constantly meeting people, being active in the community, and building relationships.
Wooster Square, downtown, the Yale crowd—I was right in the middle of all of it.

The relationships I built helped me create deep roots in the area while simultaneously building my business by working with people who knew and trusted me. With a new level of experience, I re-entered the sales market in 2012 where I could help people realize their next chapter.
I’ve had some pretty great achievements since then. I’ve been ranked in the top 10 agents statewide for transactions, help over a 100 individuals and families each year, and represented the seller in what was, in 2022, the highest single family real estate transaction ever in New Haven – a milestone that set a new benchmark for the market!
My mission from the very beginning has been to help people achieve their dreams. From walking people through those first steps of homeownership to helping them build equity, move up, and find that dream home, it all is about helping them reach their goals, build wealth, and have the life they always envisioned.
I have learned that when you truly have a heart for helping people, it shows in your actions, the support you provide, and the commitment you bring every day.
My clients can feel that and it’s why I’ve been fortunate to build my business on repeat clients and referrals.
My parents showed me that real estate is not just about property. It is about building a life. Getting to help people do that every day is something I’m incredibly proud of.
Today I live in Trumbull with my family - Ryan, Beckett, Sienna, and our dog Roxy. Ryan and I are both entrepreneurs, so building our businesses is really our passion at this stage of our lives. But when we get the chance, we enjoy taking Roxy on hikes, staying active with activities like tennis, and squeezing in some travel when we can!
In real estate, I practice what I preach. I have renovated our dream home down to the studs, navigated the complexity of a multi-unit conversion, and managed investment properties firsthand. Having a trusted partner who understands the opportunities and the challenges of real estate is crucial to a successful experience. I've learned how to navigate challenges, avoid common pitfalls, and be proactive to create as smooth of an experience as possible.
Having lived here my entire life, I understand the nuances that make each community along the Connecticut shoreline unique and I enjoy helping my clients explore different areas and homes. As we tour properties, I’m looking for potential concerns so you can make the most informed decisions. I will be honest with you, even when that means telling you to walk away.
On the selling side, I treat every listing as its own creative challenge. Every home I list receives professional photography, premium placement on Zillow and Homes.com, and social media content that is thoughtful and specific to that property and its community. Throughout the entire process, on both sides of the transaction, I keep my clients informed every step of the way. And if something needs to get done, I get it done! Even after the transaction is over, I’m here as your trusted, go-to resource for all things real estate.
Sincerely,

Jennifer D'Amato
